5.0 out of 5 stars Touching, 16 April 2000
By A Customer
I really enjoyed reading this book. It is touching and a lot of people, including me, can relate to it. A new girl arrives at school, and takes Georgia's best friend away from her, so she confides in a tearaway boy at school, Luke. They become close friends.

This book is packed full of things, and its a great read.

4.0 out of 5 stars The book captures most of the anguish of the teenage years., 27 Jan 2001
The book starts off as a normal begining of school day, a classic start to any teenage book though through out the book we find that we delve deeper into the memories and feelings of this distressed teenager. It is the start of the new term at her school and there is a mysterious new girl named Stephanie who proceeds to make friends with Georgia's best friend Jenny and steel her off Georgia in a way that she simply could not be blamed for. Back at home Georgia lives with her musical Dad (Tom) who after splitting up with Georgia's Mum (Alison) has resorted to drinking as a comforter and they are both desperately short of money. These two situations, combined together, create consequences that land Georgia in deep trouble. I would recommend this book to anyone between the ages of 11 and 14.
