Product Description

A family with secrets - but is murder one of them? A woman's body is found in a pool on the estate of an award-winning house and the finger of suspicion points at three brothers: one who is the house's designer, one who had adopted the dead woman as a small child, and the third, an international cello soloist. All three men are somehow connected to the victim - and then her nine-year-old son is abducted...

4.0 out of 5 stars Talent meets New Age in a country house, 13 Dec 2008
Eccles is a delight. This is an idyllic setting until mayhem breaks out. What a fascinating bunch of characters with so much talent between them. Then there's the very eccentric Humphrey who may not be quite as eccentric as he hopes people will believe. A very strange couple as detectives - can these two - Kate and Dave - really have a marriage? Who is the oddest of them all? There's something for every reader here - music, architecture, gardening, relationships, crystals and tarot cards, a "past secret event" corroding someone's life - and murder and a missing child. Quiet English countryside moves to cosmopolitan Brussels and the story unfolds. Easy to read, this book has hidden depths and a wonderfully crafted plot. Splendid.
