5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Sourcebook, 8 Feb 2004
By SecretSweets (Caxias, Portugal) - See all my reviews

Packed full of details, facts, evidence, original material etc etc. This is not a murder mystery novel and if treated as such will bore the pants off King and Grisham. Here is a textbook and an excellent reference book, must be read with Philip Sugden's Complete History of Jack the Ripper for an indepth understanding on the workings of Jack the Ripper.

5.0 out of 5 stars A first class reference book, 1 Feb 2001
By A Customer
Having read many of the books on this subject (with an open mind) I was determined to purchase this book as it promised so much in the title. It has not let me down, this book has an absolute wealth of documents and information. References and sources have been included that do not appear in other publications and they are carefully documented and easy to reference. This book is a vital publication for those interested in this murder case, at all levels.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must for every Ripperologist, 8 Sep 2003
This book is a must for everyone who is interested in 'Jack the Ripper'. It gives you detailed information on what the police noted down and what has been in scotland yards files since the first murder - from the people who were there at the time!!!! This provides imperative information and its the original files - so therfore it has no false claims which some 'Jack the Ripper' books do have.
This encyclopedia gives everything you need to know about the murders.
Absolutly brilliant!!!

One is led to believe, by the authors' admission, that numerous official documments have "disappeared" from Scotland Yard, etc. Read more
