Product Description

Product Description

Drawing mainly from her own experience of loss, the author deals with the subject of bereavement with honesty. She talks about money, sex and raising a family alone. She discusses her own progression from grief and despair to anger and then to adjustment, and describes how, she learned to enjoy life again. This book aims to show how best to heal oneself and how to build a new life by making the most of the many organisations and resources which help the bereaved.

5.0 out of 5 stars A really good down to earth true to life book., 31 Aug 2000
Having just lost my husband (6 months ago) this book accurately sums up my feelings during the past 6 months and gives me hope that things, however black at the moment, will change, my life will carry on although not how I may have hoped or planned. It was easy to read (it took me two nights!) made me smile, agree with it and sometimes cry. I would recommend this book to anyone who has lost their husband, particularly if they, as I am, are thinking that life will remain the empty, bleak place it seems at the moment.
