These easy-to-perform scripts are mainly action-based, with flexible casting and choral narratives. Each play is complete with five preparatory "beyond the script" sections. These non-linear building blocks explore elements, covered in the introduction, to familiarise the children with the material, including: character development, biblical application and dramatic techniques such as staging, costumes, creating effect, pitfalls and tableaux. There are also suggestions for extension material, including songs, poems and Bible readings. This book is designed for adults working with 7-11s in both the church and primary education.
