Product Description
This is a comprehensive alphabetical guide to all 198 of the world's flags, each of which is illustrated in full colour and includes key facts, such as population, area, capital city, language, and currency. Part one looks at the flag evolution and etiquette, common designs and devices and their meanings, as well as different types of flag. The remainder of the book shows each flag of the world and is organized by continent. At the beginning of each section, an introduction looks at predominant trends in the area and has a map, which shows the location of each country. Following this is an A-Z of the flags, each of which is accompanied by text that discusses the significance of the flag and gives basic statistical information about the country.
