Product Description

Book Description

The Incredibles meets Fast Food Nation!

To date, 14-year-old Eddy Tumble's greatest triumph consisted of scoffing a 'fat lad’ quarter-pounder in 39 seconds. A truly breathtaking feat which had decimated Graham 'gobbler' Griffith's 'speed eating' record by a clear three seconds and a slice of gherkin.

How ironic that only a few weeks later, a rogue roast potato in his windpipe caused Eddy to collapse unceremoniously into a large bowl of lukewarm bread sauce.

Brought back to life by an alien race of accident-prone aliens, Eddy now finds himself fighting the diabolically deranged owner of Gut Bucket Holdings, Marcellus Guzzle, a bloodthirsty hit-gran, and an unhinged magpie with an unhealthy appetite for inflicting pain.

Death would undoubtedly have been the easier option!

From the Author

As Toxic Toadburger approaches its one year anniversary it still stands out
as the first and only fictional tale for children that dares to tackle the
very real issues of child obesity and addictive fast food.

This is not finger-wagging fluff created by some publicity obsessed chef.
It is in all honesty nothing more than a sincere attempt by a father of two
to tackle the very child (and parent sensitive)issues of addictive fast
food and child obesity.

Although things are slowly getting better too many families still look on
food as nothing more than a quick-fix convenience pit stop.

This book does not preach nor advocate a life of organic lentils. Instead
it simply employs a slightly silly fun-packed action adventure as a tool
for advising children and parents alike to look a little closer at their
next meal.'

This said if you could see yourself to buying a copy you would go a long
way towards making a frustrated, first-time author in Berkshire very
happy.

Fingers Crossed!

The toxic toadburger is a unique hilarious book which has excellent descriptions. One of my favourites is "the sisters
started to scream like demented kookaburas. "I would recommend it to anyone in my junior school it's great!"

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it, 28 Oct 2005
This is brilliant. The villain is so wicked, and will stop at nothing to achieve his goal of world domination. Thankfully Eddie and his mates are there to save us all. But will we save ourselves from ourselves?

There is madness and mayhem throughout the book. Good and bad alike come to sticky endings, some gruesome, others just plain painful. There are so many funny characters its hard to know where to start.. I loved Marcellus's Mum.. The Assassin..... I'm gonna be a bit nice to my mum just in case she gets any funny ideas...

Great book, brilliant web-site, hope Eddie inflates and rides again

4.0 out of 5 stars James Bond 4 Kids, 26 Sep 2005
By A Customer
This book was like watching a James Bond Movie. Lots of baddies, lots of action and lots of dastardly deeds. Eddy was a bit of an unusual hero, but that just made me like him more. I also really liked the hamster with the platinum tipped teeth.

The pengiuns were wierd, but very funny and I did feel sorry for them.

Fantastic cover too. Looks really cool on the bookshelf!
