1.0 out of 5 stars Great pics, but not many 30 minutes recipes..., 12 Jan 2000
By A Customer
Bar few exceptions (e.g. simple salads, pan fried steaks, stir-fries, etc), some quick desserts and a few very well known pasta dishes, the majority of recipes rely on a number of previously cooked ingredients, so you'd be hard pushed to prepare anything decent or imaginative in the claimed 30 minutes time span. In addition many recipes require some costly ingredients, which you may just once (unless of course you make the same dish over and over again..), so definitely not for those on a budget either.

The book arrived on time as promised, it was in excellent condition, we purchased it for our daughter who was "over the moon" with it, many thanks, Fred.

5.0 out of 5 stars Slightly optimistic on the timing but otherwise brilliant!, 28 Feb 2001
By A Customer
OK, I accept what the reviewer from Bister says about the timing (it seems to assume that you have an assistant getting all the ingredients ready for you) but have you ever used a cookbook that really told you the truth in this respect? Where this book really scores is that it has a wide range of original, easy to prepare dishes using ingredients that you have a fighting chance of finding in a normal kitchen cupboard/fridge/freezer. Having obtained the first copy cheaply from a book club I was happy to buy another at full price to leave in our holiday cottage in France!
