2.0 out of 5 stars Variable quality, 5 Jan 2006
By A Customer
There is some useful information for beginners in this book and it is easy to understand. I do not feel this book is the best of it's kind and there is plenty of choice on the market.
The photo's in the book are hilarious, particularly the one of the hawk 'closing in on a kill'......... it is perfectly obvious the 'the kill' is not long out of the freezer!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Demon Birds, 15 Sep 2009
I can't tell you how much this book has changed my life!

I bought my Harris Hawk Toby two years ago, two years of hell. I soon understood why they are called Harris Hawks and not Friendly Hawks, I was bullied and victimised, I had to make up stories to explain all the pecking marks all over my face and back of my knees, I was too afraid to tell anyone of the mental and physical torture I endured on a daily basis, having to find excuses to stay late at work, anything to avoid going home to the bird. This book changed everything, it gave me the self confidence I was lacking, the self esteem to face Toby and regain control of my life and home.
Buy this book if you are having bird troubles.
