The variety of readers is refreshing. All are well paced in their reading and this in turn makes it easy understand.

I have heard other versions which have been dramatised - and have enjoyed them, this stands out however because it is so gentle and easy to listen to.

The whole of the New Testament is spread over fifteen CD's. The chapters flow without interuption on each CD - as though there were no separate tracks.

I found another review of this item confusing and perhaps it refers to the TNIV?New Testament (Bible Tniv) as there are clear chapter announcements on these discs. I found this recording of the NIV to be very clear and making these documents very 'real'; perhaps for the first time. Better even than reading the NIV the meaning of the words somehow is more pronounced. Also the 'sub texts' come across, such that having heard 'The Acts' Paul's Romans then comes across as a dense and heavily argued piece which emphasises sacrifice in a way which I thought that Jesus had disapproved. However, I have to give only four stars since I found the female voice to be far too sibilant to be comfortable to the extent that I find myself not listening to those chapters; perhaps this was a fault in the recording.
