after a bad year and losing all my self esteem, this book was the best birthday present! not only do I now know many tricks to help my appearance, from beauty to body but as corny as it sounds I feel like a new woman!! And am ready to start a fresh slate.

I was very lucky to have the chance to read a preview copy of this book, and I can honestly say it changed my life! Ceril really knows her stuff, and I'd wholeheartedly recommend the book to anyone.

The celebrity quotes are quite entertaining, and there's certainly a lot of good advice in the book.
Nevertheless, the book recycles a lot of general knowledge and basic psychology, and if you aren't a total novice to beauty tipps in general, you will be disappointed. Even more so as the book lacks helpful illustrations (a theoretical course in putting on false lashes, e.g., doesn't really help, and the tipps about what to wear with this or that body shape would be much more convincing if there were do's and don'ts photos to go along).
I also do not like that the book advertises so many beauty products/brands as it makes me feel manipulated to buy those products exactly. Does the author get a share in the profits of the beauty-firms that are mentioned in the book?
