4.0 out of 5 stars Very readable!, 10 Mar 2005
There are plenty of books about King Arthur out there for you to read, and this is now one of my favourites. Nicely paced, skipping around between legend, history, theories and the modern day this is one of the more balanced books on Arthur you can get hold of along with Geofrey Ashe's Discovery of King Arthur.

5.0 out of 5 stars Told me what I wanted in a fun way, 30 Nov 2004
I really liked this book. Didn't know that much about King Arthur's history before I watched the recent movie, so wanted to find out more. This book did the job for me, and I enjoyed it along the way, author didn't take himself too serious unlike some of the other stuffy pumpkins I've read. Also liked the chapter on films and books about Arthur, and the many different theories about who King Arthur might have been.
