Having read the first two books in this series Snowball Orangees and Manana Manana I was eagerly awaiting the third. Viva Mallorca doesn't disappoint, Ellie is as hilarious in this book as in the previous two.

If you are looking for a book which gives a true feel and insight into rural life in Mallorca then look no further. These books are delightful.

What a relief and joy it was, after finishing reading Peter Kerr's � Snowball Oranges � to discover that there was a sequel. I couldn't wait to read it, as Snowball Oranges revealed an author that wasn't just exceptionally witty, but knew how to write, which isn't necessarily the case with some of today's best-selling authors!
"Viva Mallorca" is just as funny and entertaining as Kerr's first book. The only disappointing moment comes when you've read the last page, leaving you hungry for more.
Fortunately, there are another three instalments, all equally original, funny and outstandingly well-written. As for Thistle Soup, the account of the author's boyhood in Scotland, it makes up in charm, warmth and wit for what the Scottish climate occasionally lacks in sizzling Mallorcan sunshine.

OK, so I love Mallorca, the mountains, the quiet rural life, the sun, in fact what is there not to like?

Peter Kerr brings the island to life once more, the old characters like Jock continue to entertain and make this an excellent light read.
