5.0 out of 5 stars The film is for visual guidance. This book is with the Force, 20 Jun 2002

Star Wars Episode II is a brilliant book, providing the first few connections between Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader. It provides the thoughts that you cannot see on screen and gives the reader those extra details that might have been missed. Obi-Wan has a sense of humour and Anakin is growing up from the boy slave to a handsome young man. Yoda shows that he can fight despite his age and is widely respected by former and current Jedis alike. Read this book if you like Star Wars and want more or if you like a good battle between good and evil.

Star Wars fans old and new will enjoy this book, which gives a bit more detail than the film can show. It links Episode I with Episode IV and gives the reader some clues to Darth Siduous' true identity. A challenging but enjoyable read.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Begun, the Clone War has...", 25 Jul 2002
By A Customer
Thank you Mr Lucas! After the critical disappointment of Episode I, Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones marks an impressive return to form. The amazing tale, which sees Anakin Skywalker wrestle with his inner demons within a galaxy on the brink of war, is faithfully recreated in this graphic novel. All the key characters, locations and events from the film are instantly recognisable as the artwork is first class. Similarly, the script follows that of the film, with all the favourite quotes waiting bo be found ("I have a bad feeling about this!"). The action flows at a lively pace, and the novel is a nice length. On a negative note, a graphic novel can never do true justice to the film, as the stunning CG sequences obviously lose a great deal in their translation. This, however, is a fault of the genre, not the novel itself, which is a worthy addition to any Episode II collection. Whether you are a fanatical Star Wars follower with a hoard of books, figures and the like, or a relative novice, joining the saga at its latest installment, you won't feel disappointed by this purchase.
