Product Description

Product Description
From the subterrean depths of comics' most innovative mind comes a supremely deranged duo. Alan Moore (Watchmen, Promethea) and Alan Davis (Captain Britain, X-Men) are proud (and should be ashamed) to present D.R. & Quinch. Outrageous, unrestrained and heavily armed, college students D.R. & Quinch gleefully provide irredeemably poor role-modelling for today's youth. Comes complete with tips on death, extremely painful death and the art of total destruction. Wildly offensive tales of alien slime wars, deranged disaster movies, psychotic girlfriends and warped war veterans make for a volatile mix of malicious mayhem and deeply dark humour. Totally intense, manl

4.0 out of 5 stars Tactical thermo-nuclear weaponry is a guy's best friend..., 10 Jul 2006
By Dark Jimbo (Hampshire, England) - See all my reviews
One of Alan Moore's fairly early works, and among them only really bettered by The Ballad of Halo Jones and V for Vendetta. The story of two alien deliquents with a destruction addiction is just pure, ludicrous FUN, and absolutely hilarious. Do yourself a favour and buy this.

The only reason it doesn't get the full five stars is because some of the reproduction is really not as good as it could be, which is a shame, and it all ends far too soon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Genius, 2 Jan 2003

Alan Moores funniest writing. More famous for 'From Hel', and 'Watchmen', DR & Quinch was one of Alan Moores earliest works (1983!), and remains his funniest writing. Aided by the sublime comic art of Alan Davids, this is a team-up that has rarely been matched.
In these pages you will find merciless skits of 50's be-bop, the Vietnam war, and the Hollywood dream, topped off with lashings of childish glee at comic book violence.
This is a book to be bought & re-read. I've owned the originals for almost two decades, and they still make me laugh out load. Enjoy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Messed up masterpiece, 10 Sep 2007
One of the great 2000ad strips ruined by a terrible reprint that loses all the detail of the original artwork. Avoid this and buy the earlier version.
