When three Hutts place a wager on who can raise the most successful squad to procure a highly valuable, mythical treasure, the most conniving rogues of the Star Wars Universe are recruited. Following a lead provided by Jozzel Moffet, a Hutt's majordomo, three teams set out to be the first to find the mysterious Yavin Vassilika. Boba Fett, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Lando, Dengar, IG-88, and others square off to decide who is the best scoundrel in the galaxy! They're hot on each other's trails, trying to stay alive and one step ahead of the pack. Meanwhile, the seductive Jozzel Moffet, wanting to free herself from a life of Hutt-washing, is moonlighting for a secret 4th investor and hopes to get the Vassilika from whichever team is left standing!

THE STORY:
The Hutts Jabba, Embra and Malta enter into a wager to see whose hirelings can recover the near-mythical Yavin Vassilika. Jabba, favouring manipulation hires Han Solo, Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian (who end up taking young hunter Greedo along for the ride), as well as giving a special contract to Boba Fett. Embra espouses straight-forward business practises and hires the bounty hunters Zuckuss, 4-LOM and Sardu Sallowe. Malta chooses to employ blunt force and hires the potent hunters Bossk, Dengar and IG-88. Meanwhile, there is another who wants to gain possession of the vassilika for entirely different reasons.

WHAT'S GOOD:
I loved the idea of pitting all these great Star Wars characters against one another in a competition and the interaction between them, with their differing styles, makes for action-packed fun and is complemented by ongoing comic-relief. I particularly like Boba Fett's part in the story as he keeps turning up but his motives don't become clear until much later.

WHAT'S BAD:
I wasn't struck on the artwork. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but I just didn't feel it was appropriate for a (mostly) serious Star Wars story. There's also some massive continuity gaps that will annoy fans (or geeks, like me!), such as Han and Lando's surprisingly amicable relationship considering how estranged they are before and after the story's setting. The other major problem I had was with Bria Tharen's appearance; I think it was really unnecessary because Han and Bria's relationship had been explored to it's limits in the Han Solo Trilogy (by A.C. Crispin).

I liked this story, and it has more twists and turns than a Lethal Weapon movie. The artwork is superb, but the almost cariciature style tends to give it a comedy value. Its set in-between Han Solo - Rebel Dawn and Episode IV and brings together many favourite bounty hunting characters and you can only feel sorry for poor Greedo as his hapless attempts to make it big in the SW underworld go from bad to worse. Well done!

With characters like Han Solo,Lando Calrission, Bossk, 4-Lom and many more Star Wars favourite characters, the basic plot is that 3 hutts (including Jabba) think that each of them has a better way of getting things done,so they make a bet that the first one to find the treasure of Yavin is the better. They hire themselves teams to find the treasure, in a race to see who will get there first and get the reward but each of them has there own agenda, and to top it all off is the arrival of Boba Fett but who is he hunting...
