2.0 out of 5 stars above average graphically but substandard plot!, 5 Feb 2001
By A Customer
A fantastic looking book with some great artwork , which if you know the areas involved certainly do them credit. Is it me or isthere a scheme somtimes with the Btaman world to try and get him connected with every possible franchise going ! In this case its the turn of some radical Braveheart Fanaticals who Batman appears to have stumbled upon and a tale of revenge years old . The characterisation of Wayne and butler does lend a little humour with Alfred doing his best to keep a straight face at times ( sometimes you think his tongue is so firmly in cheek it'll come out the other side)

All in all it is enjoyable but I can't help thinking that it is a wee bittie far fetched , coming across as Batman meets Rob Roy via Brigadoon with a liberal helping of Gibson's Braveheart. I can't help thinking it would have grittier to see it having the realism and darker side to Scotland more akin to Trainspotting or Iain Banks' Complicity.
