5.0 out of 5 stars A gritty look at the shady underbelly of football thuggery!, 16 April 2002
By A Customer
I stumbled across this book in my local shop and picked it up more out of morbid curiosity than anything else, but when I started to read I couldn't stop (so much so that i finished the whole book in half a day). If you are a fan of ultra-violence then this is the book for you. I actually got knots in my stomach when reading the build up to the fights as if I was there, a sure sign of a good book. For reader involvement I have never read a more enthralling book. I shall certainly be rushing out to buy other books by the same author!!

hooligan was the first proper book i had ever read and thought it was absoloulty brillient! the events that took place in the book were so realistic and writen in such detail that you felt you wasn't reading a book but watching a film in your mind.
I'd recomend this book to anyone who loves football.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not bad for a first try but stick to the fact
