I read this book last night to my baby son. The story is absolutely sweet and adorable, the pictures are delicate and innocent. It's such a lovely book for young children.

The pages are repetitive, which is lovely for a small child. little lamb meets all of the animals at the farm, and wants to join in their fun, but he is told he is too little. Finally little lamb rescues a baby bird who tells him he is big enough, and so little lamb helps him back to his nest. He skips back to the farm happy and feeling like a big lamb!

i also reccommend the authors other book, little duck lost, which is just as delightful.
