It was the variety and the quality of the pictures of the birds that appealed to me and led me to buy this book. Unfotunately the story has not appealed to the children I look after and is not one they choose to have read to them. I will continute to use the book as a resource when we are talking about birds but feel it is very much a showcase for the artists, not inconsiderable, talents rather that an appealing story.
