Simon Bartram has created another beautifully detailed book to join Man on the Moon and Dougall's Deep Sea Diary. This time Bob, the Man on the Moon, is lonely. He wants a companion - but where to find one?

Bob continues to be utterly unaware of the aliens about him and this book gives the chance, yet again, to look out for the funny and the unlikely (a particular favourite is the alien in Bob's mug of tea) in the colourful illustrations whilst telling a nicely crafted story. It also delivers a happy ending in the shape of Barry, the six-legged, one-eyed alien dog bourne to Earth by asteriod from a pet show on Pluto.

Much loved in our house since Nursery, these books continue to be enjoyed in Year 2, which I think shows a well told, engaging and beautifully illustrated story, and this new one is already as popular as the others. Highly recommended, especially for boys.

this is a lovely story - my boy loves spotting all the aliens (who don't exist, do they!?).

shared this book with primary children ages between 3to5. The children enjoyed the story, also looking for the aliens,hiding in the pages.
