5.0 out of 5 stars quirky book with a good message, 3 Jan 2008
By mum's the word (Sussex, UK) - See all my reviews
This is a really lovely book telling the tale of Humbug, a unique sheep with a mind of his own. Not for him to follow the herd, he does things differently. The pictures positively jump off the page and contain some great humorous details to keep adults entertained. The rhyming text and sheep like repetitions make it a joy to read with different fonts used to great effect.

amidst all the fun and the surprise pop-up at the end, your child will get a positive message that it's ok to have a mind of your own and do your own thing.

thoroughly recommended

5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun for adults too...!, 12 Feb 2006
By A Customer
I loved this book so much - it's hilarious & quirky with great rhymes for little ones as well as fun at the adult level too. The pop up surprise at the end always gets a laugh! Also look for 'Grunter - the Story of a Pig with Attitude' - equally funny.
