4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for 'budding' flower spotters, 31 Jul 2001
By A Customer
The book is an excellent way of identifying flowers, and widening your appreciation of the environment. It does require knowledge of the plants' composition, and patience to really study the flowers, however this knowledge is supplied in a good concise index. Points to note: it's not always possible to exactly identify the specific plant, (due to the vast number of variations possible), and the book does not cover Alpine plants (extremely important if you're on a walking holiday in the mountains! - I believe that's covered in another book).
