The map is printed on tough springy laminated paper, only foldable in the way the publisher has set. So you have to open the map out to check where you are, making it obvious to everyone around that you are a lost tourist - not always a safe thing to do in DC.

Take your magnifying glass! The street names and building names are in the tiniest barely legible print (about 6pt).

The map only covers the centre of DC. For the centre of DC for tourists you would be better off with a free foldable paper map from your hotel or tourist offices in DC (or a better map from another publisher).
