A fabulous LP guide to a fabulous country. Thorough, accurate and honest reviews of everything and anything. AND, unlike other lonely planets, there is a wicked sense of humour and healthy cynicism. These guys dont take themselves too seriously!! Highly recommended.

A most excellent book with loads of good tips and ideas of places to see and things to do. Most useful was the recommendation of a horse tour company in Jaco, Puntarenas where the horses are well looked after and the tours brilliant. Very useful.

very useful guidebook that is not too "preachy".
mostly up to date information on a country where things can change quickly.
easy to read, even about places and subjects that may not be on your intinerary..informal style.
would recommend for travellers on their first trip to Costa Rica.
Will use again.
