4.0 out of 5 stars Stockholm covered the Lonely Planet way, 3 Dec 2001
Lonely Planet has issued their second edition of their guide to Stockholm. Being the backpackers choice, this guide covers and focus on a wide range of issues that you need to know and see here. They got the "must see" tourist attractions and their guide to hotels and youth hostels are very comprehensive and detailed. The book also gives a good understanding of the culture and the people. Most important it gives you the necessary advices on how to live a budget life in the very nice but rather expensive town of Stockholm. A must have for every person with the intention of exploring the city beoynd the tourist track without running out of money.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Trusty Companion, 6 Aug 2007
By vivsy (rural hertfordshire) - See all my reviews
I bought this book before a recent trip to Stockholm. It covered everything I needed including all the usual things you'd expect in a travel guide, all written in a very engaging style by someone who obviously knows and loves the city. What I found particularly helpful was the guide to eating out and shopping on different price levels. It is a very expensive place to visit, so it was useful to know cheaper options existed!
