If you read the help files and documentation of Poser is a waste of money to pay for only a tiny percent of new information. The book was obviously written for a previous version and updated on a rush to become a Poser 7. There are plenty of mistakes on the text. Like exercises which indicate de use of the wrong figure and things wrongly named, which can be quite frustrating when following exercises.

I would recomend PRACTICAL POSER 7

In the good old days, when software came with print manuals, this is the sort of thing that came as part of the package.

It is basic, but it does cover all the options. It is heavily illustrated, but the illustrations are not of good quality, and everything is in black and white. Now disk is provided.

For all that, there is a lot here, weighing in at over 500 pages, and the price is quite low for such a thick computer book.

Four stars for a beginner, but not much use at all to the experienced Poser user.
