5.0 out of 5 stars entertaining easy reading, 13 Sep 2009

When I bought this book I thought that there would be more stories about 'how I burnt my pancakes once..' But no. And actually it turned out better than I expected. The book includes a lot of short funny stories from the world known cooks about some funny and interesting situations during their professional life (eg, how the whole stuff got drunk while serving guests at dinner, what kind of interesting clients you have in Hamptons, etc).
Easy reading.
Now it's fun to share these stories as small talk in parties.. :)

3.0 out of 5 stars Funny and Insightful, 10 April 2009
By Lincs Reader (Lincolnshire, England) - See all my reviews

Some of the world's best chefs have contributed stories of their mishaps in the kitchen, there are some really funny stories here. It's great to see that the chefs who always look as though they cook to perfection are real people too!

4.0 out of 5 stars I still cant decide........, 17 Jan 2009

Just who this book is really aimed at, Is it aimed at chefs or Amateurs? The book is basically 30 or so short stories from each of the chefs, This is where the problem lies for me, If you have lots of other books at home about chefs and cooking then no doubt you will of read a lot of these stories before so really it is just compressing your 30 books into one!

So am I pleased a bought it? Yes there is a few chefs I have not read about before and I could also spend all day reading of stories from the kitchen!!

Go Ahead I dont think you will be disappointed.

Nick
