This was a really enjoyable little book with plenty of all-round information on this superb breed of dog. The pictures are excellent and you can almost feel the amazing personality of the Norwich's character jumping out at you from the page! Some of the areas were fairly standard to any breed of dog (ie training), however, if you were looking for a book that offers the whole package, then this is definetely it. I personally felt that it covered all the relevant aspects for a new buyer yet was equally enlightening to the long term owner. The history section made good reading and the first para in the 'characteristics' section sums the Norwich up beautifully and reads; 'to see a Norwich is to fall in love at first sight'. The author certainly knew her topic when she wrote about the Norwich. It was a refreshing change to see that this is one of the few books that advise you of the 2 major health issues within the Norwich - those being Epilepsy and breathing problems. Buyers of Norwich's beware - select your dog breeder carefully, there are some very good breeders out there, who care passionately about breeding for health reasons and go to great lengths to produce beautiful healthy puppies, but there are also those just doing it for the aesthetics, trophies and money. On a positive note though, read this book and in the event you do purchase a Norwich as a result of reading it - you'll never look back. God broke the mold when he made Norwich's they are THE best dog you would ever be likely to come across - nothing else can compare and I would never be without one.
