I have been around firearms of one sort or another for most of my life and I cannot ever remember a time when I did not have one or two books on the subject close by me so that I can browse through them at my leisure.

This book is one of the most comprehensive you can find on the subject. It has illustrations of all the different types of firearms, including sporting guns, small arms, rifles, shotguns and I found the section on antique weapons particularly interesting even though most of them are now out of my price range. The range of small arms included is also good but by no means comprehensive. This is understandable in a book that spans the whole spectrum of firearms.
