This book firstly gives you excercises,which you download for free from the web site which is given in the book.You get a project and a writtern exercise that you follow that all conects together with the chapter you have just read.It covers all the aspects of SX2,how to set it up,routing,project window,all the editors,midi plug-ins,midi and audio recording,the mixer,mixing down as well as the 2.01 new features.Very easy to follow even for a novice,loads of pictures showing you exactly what is happening,and well worded and simple.After learning the nearly 500 book you will have a excellent grasp of the program.

This book started off very well although seemed to delve into the complex far to soon. As a relative new comer to the music production scene i know very little about cubase and was hoping for a more guided tour of how to do things as opposed to referencing the complexities of cubase. I seemed to get through the first 3 chapters and not really learn anything at all! For the more experienced users of this programme i think this would be a good buy although for novices like myself i think it may be a little too advanced. Ive been recommended 'Fast Guide to Cubase SX' by Simon Millward' by a friend who is on a similar par to myself and he advises me it is an awesome book! It leave it to you to decide......
