5.0 out of 5 stars A Book Sure to Please Readers, 20 May 2004
By R. Gerlach "R. Marie" (Maryland) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Beverly Scott has managed to produce another wonderful book that will please readers. Ruth Fever is a lovely story that touched my heart and made me cheer for two people, and a little boy, so deserving of love. Ruth Dennison is a school teacher. She has lost her parents in a car accident and she is grieving. Ruth is a good woman, and she seeks the strength to forgive the drunk driver who took her beloved parents from her. To mask her depression and loneliness, Ruth gives all she has to her students, especially eight-year-old Jason Winters who has suddenly changed in behavior. Ruth meets Wyndom Winters, Jason's father, a widower, who catches 'Ruth Fever'. Together they work to bring back to Jason the happiness he once knew. Ruth Fever is a heartwarming story of love and forgiveness, the courage to go on when you have lost someone you love and to love the ones that follow. It is a thoroughly enjoyable read. This is a good book for book discussion groups. I highly recommend it.
