The Japanese poet-recluse Rykan (1758-1831) is one of the most beloved figures of Asian literature, renowned for his beautiful verse, exquisite calligraphy, and eccentric character. 5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Book and an excellent gift for Zen Buddhists!, 19 Aug 2009
Bought this as a present for my boyfriend. He is a Japanese Zen Buddhist and he absolutely loves this book. I find the translation myself very easy to understand and the poems are very beautiful. This is a must buy!!
