The city of Constantinople is in ruins. Vampires from all clans seek easy prey or power during this time of chaos. Bishop Alfonzo is considered to be head of the city, but there is no true prince, though some are building power to assume the role soon.

Lucita is the young envoy of Clan Lasombra. With her is a strange monk called Anatole. Together, they must decide who best to become Prince of Constantinople and become indispensable to him, or die in the task.

***** "LASOMBRA" is book five in an epic thirteen-part series of Dark Ages Clan Novels. Author David Niall Wilson did a splendid job in making this story come alive for me! Each character's dark traits are powerful and lethal. Wilson's talent drips vividly on every page of this dark fantasy. I can only hope the rest of this saga is even half as great. Highly recommended!

In this book five of the Dark Age’s series follows Lucita of the vampire clan Lasombra masters of the shadows.

Lucita must use all of her cunning and skill to decide upon the future of near fallen city of Constantinople. Anatole the mad Malkavian monk helps her in this task.

If your looking for a vampire VS vampire battles look elsewhere this book is more about conspiracy’s , political manoeuvring and cunning gambits and gives a great insight into how clan Lasombra do things.
