I have given this book four stars almost completely because it is so very strange and NOT because I thing that a lot of people will actually want to play in the Autocthonian setting.

This book is a companion volume to the Exalted setting, but this is set in the world/body of the primoridial machine god Autocthon and the players are given the chance to play Autochtonian Exalted aka Alchemical Exalted.

This book is interesting in that it describes one of the most alien milieus that I have ever encountered in a supplement to a fantasy roleplaying game. Even the Fair Folk supplement was not quite as alien as this, the Fair Folk has quite a lot of interaction with the normal Exalted world compared with the Alchemical.

In any case I would hesitate to recommend this if you like standard fantasy games, but if you are looking for something different this is certainly it.
