Pretty much all you need to know about localisation. The endorsements on the back of the book sum up my feelings; a series of glowing tributes from luminaries in the translation/localisation field. If you are thinking of becoming a translator, read this book and get wise - you may find that localisation is the way forward.

Bert explains every aspect of the process in painstaking (but not patronising) detail. Bravo.
