I have been trying to get hold of this for some time from the US. It really is great news that a UK edition is now available. The book has a number of key contributions from the people who know the monuments better than any. For example, Betsy Bryan, Edwin C. Brock, Erik Hornung, Morris L. Bierbrier and many others.
The book is awash with colour, showing some very rare shots of tombs from across the Kings, Queens and nobles burial grounds.
The photography is remarkable. You may have seen many of these sites, but you have never seen them looking this good. There are many pictures here that would be impossible for the casual visitor to ever recreate.
Several good quality maps accompany isometric drawings of the tombs. It is very nice to see the Queens tombs getting so much attention at last.
You really must add this to your collections. It will not revolutionise your knowledge of the tombs but it will most definitely give you an even deeper admiration of these works of art.

Complete this title with an up to date bibliography as they have and all Egyptophiles lay and professional will want this title.

This is a book that could have been very much better. The photos are superb and the contributors are all experts in their field. However, the book is full of errors due to sloppy editing. Most worryingly, the plan of the valley showing the tomb locations is completely wrong and the numbers so badly muddled that the last number has no name at all. If readers are interested in an accurate text they will be better off getting the French edition. Hopefully, there will be a second edition in which most of the errors will be corrected.

Really incredible detailed illustrations, unique photographic quality. The best way to get a impression of the Tombs, specially those who are closed for public. This book is a MUST HAVE for every Egypt fan ! A really KENT WEEKS.
