On the whole this title is a good guide to MFC using a "learn by example" technique (for the large part). But the text really gave me problems in the early chapters with all of its (many) mistakes! These mistakes included inconsistent class/file naming conventions (the author decides to change his mind mid-chapter). Also some of the tutorial sections are jumbled-up, and require a bit of reading ahead to find the missing links!

This isn't a comprehensive guide to MFC or VC++6 but it can give some useful pointers. If you don't have any experience with Visual C++ or Win32 programming then you'll be better off finding another book though, as this one tends to leap in to the middle of the learning pool.
