3.0 out of 5 stars more business guide than photography guide, 31 Jan 2006
This book was written by a husband and wife team: the husband is the photographer, the wife is a business consultant with an MBA. As such the book is written from a business perspective, aimed at people who are yet to switch to digital from film. Covering very little photography techniques, it concentrates helping the reader to switch from the mindset of film based business to a digital business.

For example, the book gives the advice that being digital does not mean "proofless", as that suggests to customers that you are offering less service for the money. Instead, you are providing quality digital proofs on CD/DVD, just not paper proofs.

I don't like the style of the writing either, being in a somewhat patronising tone, as though the authors are lecturing a class - in the year 2000. Just my personal opinion. This is the first time I can remember giving a book 3 stars :(
