I was quite disappointed by the book, as it contained only little information. The book is thin, letter size is large, and lines are far apart. The authors give wide introductions, while real information is sparse. The book is only useful for people who do not know anything about working with imaging software, and who do not intend to go deep into it either. For example, the authors make use only of standard filters such as the sharpening filter instead of the unsharp mask and leave the curves option to 'people who know how to use it'. However, might you be interested only in the very basics of imaging, the book is very readible and pictures are nice!
