5.0 out of 5 stars Good overview, 21 Feb 2006
By Andy K (Leicester United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
A very good overview of Wing Chun, and certainly one of the better books available. The three forms are clearly presented and accompanied by some excellent advice by someone with a clear understanding of teaching martial arts. Along with the forms, there are some very interesting sections on the philosophy behind the art. My one quibble is the section on acupuncture with doesn't quite seem to fit with the rest of the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Most Comprehensive Book on Wing Chun, 16 Mar 2007
By Mr. H. S. Grewal (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is a great book on Wing Chun. The author is obviously someone with great experience and knowledge about the art. He could easily have split this work into 5 books and charged double for it but he has provided an excellent comprehensive work for outstanding value.

Within this book you will find the three empty hand forms in clear photographic form with accompanying text. The applications of the movements of the forms are given along with training guides and pointers.

The chi sau section is very informative containing numerous techniques and drills for improvment. There are also chapters on general Wing Chun drills and techniques, training guides, conditioning, pressure points and a history of wing chun.

Excellent

Very very good book, written by someone who is very knowledgable in the art of Wing Chun. I have been training in Wing chun for years now and find this a very good reference to even experienced practioners of Wing Chun. Well worth it, no matter what your skill level
