...Yo Joe! Ah brings back some memories, though as a child I was more likely to shout "Full Force" as me and my friends battled it out with our figures (GI Joe was known as Action Force outside of the States... instead of Real American Heroes they bacame International Heroes... and early example of PC thinking perhaps).

Image comics have come in for some criticism from fans of the original Marvel comic strips, but with the quality of this collection of stories I can't see why. The bulk of this large graphic novel is given over to the story of a rogue B.A.T. (or Battle Android Trooper) with our heroes and Cobra (the enemy)fighting the BAT and each other.

Great art, lots of action and all the old favourites make this a great introduction to new GI Joe (or just GI Joe in general). I would recommend starting with the hard to find reinstated as there is a continuing story arc (though it is not central).
