These cards are a distillation of the SCAMPER brainstorming technique; each card contains a `question' or a thought to be applied during brainstorming activities. The cards are nearly a word for word breakdown of the SCAMPER method as described in the Thinkertoys book. The pack comes with a small booklet which describes various way of using the cards and in addition it contains a number of cards detailing how to assess the results of the brainstorming.

If you are short of time and want an `instant' brainstorming process then these cards are very good. If you have more time buy the thinkertoys book and develop your own brainstorming approach; the book is packed with other methods and techniques.

I have given these cards 3 stars as there is nothing really new over the book and so aren't the best value for money.

This is just a pack of cards with ideas on them. Now that might seem pretty easy to create your own - but these do cover the ground without you always thinking, "I wonder if there's something I've missed". The big thing with using a tool like this is you need to remember that you still have to do the work and the thinking - it's not a short cut - it's a tool. So, as far as being a tool and not an answer, it's great and there's not much ele out there at this sort of price. For a tenner what have you got to lose? It's not my only tool - but it's been with me for about ten years now and always handy to use when I need it.

Attractively packaged and useful to get the ball rolling when generating ideas. The cards are a version of an exercise in Thinkertoys by the same author. The cards are portable and useful to carry around but the book has more to offer
