4.0 out of 5 stars Hysterical social commentary, 5 Jan 2002
This is a brilliant companion book to Wilson and Shea's "Illuminatus Trilogy". Within its pages, Wilson delves deeper into many of the wonderful characters he and Shea invented for their trilogy, presenting readers with essays written by Hagbard Celine, the musings of Simon Moon and "Conspiracy Digest" interviews with the author himself. Never failing to make you giggle, Wilson uses his characters to explain some of his ideas about econmoics, social theory and where the human race is headed. Wet your pants and expand your mind at the same time!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of his best, 9 Jan 2009

(REAL NAME)
This is defiantly one of Wilson's best books. The reviewer who gave the low review obviously has no idea what he was buying thinking it was a conspiracy book of some kind. This book may need to be read after 'The illuminatus trilogy' as the essays are "written" by the characters of the book but could be read without it as the book is Wilson's usual mix of Guerrilla Ontology

1.0 out of 5 stars The Illuminati Papers, 20 April 2004
By Wilma (Dhahran, Saudi Arabia) - See all my reviews
This book is by far the worse I have bought from Amazon. The content isdisjointed and with out substance. I bought it under the understandingthat it referred to the "Illuminati "- it didn't! As far as I'm concernedit is a complete waste of money and paper.
