5.0 out of 5 stars A great manual from two giants of theh show dog world, 26 Jul 2003
By P D Jameson (Paignton, Devon United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Peter Green and Mario Migliorini have teamed up to produce a must have book for aspiring show dog handlers. The book kicks off with the basics like what makes a show dog, show training puppies moving on to more advanced handing skills and aspects of showmanship through to the excellent sections on tricks of the trade and the secret formula. These last sections are like a crib sheet of do's and don'ts, most of which seem obvious once you've read it - but had me squirming a bit when I remembered my early efforts.

I'm not a great reader of how to books, but I liked this one because it got to the point, as a result it is a fairly thin volume about 160 pages or so, but each page is packed with illustrations and useful advice and information. Get a copy.
