Product Description

Product Description

"The Power of Appreciative Inquiry" describes a revolutionary new change strategy that inspires people and brings about a higher performance level in any organization. This method encourages people to study, discuss, learn from, and build on what works well when they are at their best, rather than focusing on what's going wrong. It is a how-to guide for consultants and leaders, and is powerfully illustrated with one company's story. "The Power of Appreciative Inquiry" describes how Hunter Douglas Window Fashions Division involved their entire workforce, in an Appreciative Inquiry initiative, which achieved a 15-20 per cent improvement in their bottom line, and created a new strategic direction and culture for their organization.

5.0 out of 5 stars A trailblazing introduction to the future., 28 Dec 2003
The book "Power of Appreciative Inquiry: A Practical Guide to Positive Change" is captivating and energetic. It takes the reader for a careful introduction to a method that should be in every manager, consultant or HR managers toolbox.

With its detailed, logical approach to a new and fascinating idea, it did not leave me alone. The enthusiasm caught me from page one - this is people, who believe and whats to share a positive and strong method. As a consultant I have used Appreciative Inquiry - and it works!!!! The book actually helped me to design and develop my personal skils. This book is a good introduction and lends a helping hand, for those who wants to experiment with AI. I give it 5 stars as it is a MUST for those who want to improve with the power of positive approach.

(REAL NAME)
Not a large book but I found the author likes to use words with as many syllables as possible. The concept seemed fairly simple and I felt that the author had decided to use the biggest words he could find to make the book bigger. I gave up after 70 pages as I got so frustrated with the way the book was written
