Product Description

This text offers a complete resource anyone can use to create a dynamic workplace that encourages and inspires fun-and-games camaraderie among employees. It provides practical hands-on tools and features hundreds of ideas real companies have used to lighten up the workplace.

From the Author

A "fun" recess can make employees more productive.
"301" Ways to Have Fun at Work" is a compilation of fun ideas from actual people who work for some of the most successful companies in the world. These companies have found that employees who have a fun workplace are more productive, creative, have less job stress, and they retain their best people. Everyone should take a 5 or 10 minute recess (just like when we were kids) and do something spontaneous and wacky. I think you'll find that when you get back to work you will be more focused and productive. Try using one of Dave's Top Ten List of Fun Office Toys: 10.) Pogo Stick or Hula Hoop 9.) Yo Yo 8.) Tinkertoys 7.) Slinky 6.) Pez Dispensers 5.) Roomarangs 4.) Silly Putty 3.) Nerf Balls 2.) Nerf Guns and #1.) Koosh Balls If anyone would like to share a story of what you do to have fun at work please feel free to contact me at my e-mail address.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ingenious games!, 2 Nov 2007

(TOP 500 REVIEWER)
As all office staff know, the workplace can be frightfully dull at times. Ideas to liven things up are always worth a shot but this book contains a level of imagination that even (jumper-wearing former-MP) Gyles Brandreth would struggle to match. Anyway, to the games themselves:

'Blind Man in the Buff' has been a hot favourite at our seasonal office parties, although it is equally popular on a slow morning. It had even replaced Jim's running gag of setting off the fire alarm every week- until last Wednesday, that is. Suddenly the cheeky blighter decided to combine the two- during MY turn. It wasn't easy navigating the fire escape while gagged and blindfolded, particularly with my hands tied behind my back. Still, thirty flights of stairs worth of bruising later I got my Y-fronts back off Mandy in the parking lot. Spitting contests are also good for a laugh, but watch out for those pesky health inspectors (especially when competing in the canteen during the lunch hour)! I've left the best until last though. Indoor office cricket is a superb way to pass a few hours after a pub lunch, but be careful! It was 'mental Dave' who bowled the beamer that struck Hilda from accounting, but after the fielding side took the new ball there was so much shine on the polished leather that (he says) it just slipped out of his fingers. Hilda is still in hospital, but it's not the author's fault that she was caught on the nose by a dense cricket ball, during what should have been a perfectly safe indoor game. As he says- "always wear a suitable helmet and protective padding whilst batting!"
