4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent on the whole..., 6 Jul 2009
I've been going to car boots for 12 years and amongst other things, I have amassed a wealth of Star Wars tat. I began to think I should sell some off - mainly to make room for more - and so I bought this book!

What you get, here, is a comprehensive guide to pretty much anything StarWars related you would care mention. Well laid out, useful pictures and lots of them so - if you've bought a shoe box full of figures and bits, for example - you may even be able to work out, which weapons go with what. The index at the front is a great boon, too as it makes it easier to track down which section you will find your item in.

Only one niggle. The prices are in dollars, not a huge problem but a bit of an irritant sometimes. Also you have to remember that everything has an American name so freebies from cereal packets, for example, are "premiums" and badges are "pins". This did cause me difficulties to start with until I got my head round what Americans call things. Once you've got that off pat, though, it's a great resource - the most recent one on sale here at the moment and certainly very useful to me. Combine it with the Warmans Star Wars field guide - which tells you what the differences are between various runs of action figures, for example - and you have pretty much all you need.

Thoroughly recommended but since I'm writing this as a Brit for the UK site, I've knocked a star off for the dollar values and the requirement to get your head round American to track down some things.
