3.0 out of 5 stars The Depression Era but neither depression nor deco, 1 Aug 2009
I did expect this book to be about depression lighting &/or art deco lighting or even 30s styles but it is none of these. It is therefore interesting that the author introduces the book by saying "The 1920s decade was a fabulous, flamboyant time ...".

So, is it a book about 1920s lighting? Well, perhaps indirectly. It is book of pages from manufacturer's catalogues. 5 manufacturers. They mostly preferred ornate metal fittings. Prices current at the time of publication (2001) have been added. This also means that the book consists entirely of drawings of the light fittings, not photographs, & most are black and white.

Well, there we are then. Collector Books "Pages from 5 possibly 1920s Lighting Catalogues".
