A bit of everything..., 5 May 2002
If you're not into magic or witchcraft, don't let the title of this book put you off. It contains short, well-written chapters on a variety of subjects, all relating to your home and its energy. There is a chapter on meditations to focus YOUR energy and intent so you can implement them in your home. The chapters on astrology, feng shui, crystals, incense and smudging, and other related fields are succinct and full of information pertaining to your house, and the chapter on organization is equally helpful. I recommend this book highly and have given it as a gift several times. It has charm as well as substance, but is not as weighty or intimidating as other books on the subject. If you want a more in-depth, heavy-duty reference, I would suggest Sacred Spaces by Denise Linn, but as a starter book on energy work in the home, a housewarming present, or an addition to your New Age library, this book is a gem.

A starting point beyond the coffee table..., 2 Mar 2003
At first glance it might be easy to dismiss this as another "New Age coffee table" book, but that's beyond the point. Followers of the Old Religion may be disappointed with the sub-title as there's nothing particularly "witchy" about it. However, it is a good starting point to creating the kind of life that you want through your living space. All sorts of ideas are given here, from basic Feng Shui to the use of crystals and gemstones as well as the obligatory "clutter clearing" chapter - given a bit of a metaphysical slant in this case. If anything, this is a general user-friendly book for anybody drowning beneath the plethora of sacred space books, and a springboard to discovering what you want in your home and how to achieve it.
